Season Opening Concert
London Symphony Chorus join the London Symphony Orchestra for Britten’s Spring Symphony, his second-biggest choral work after the War Requiem. Music Director Sir Simon Rattle conducts an all-British programme to launch the new season, including the world premiere of Harrison Birtwistle’s Donum Simoni MMXVIII with Mark-Anthony Turnage’s wild double trumpet concerto Dispelling the Fears also on the programme.
